Date: November 8 & 9, 2014Lummi Island Holiday Artists' Studio Tour

Time: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Lummi Island Artists Studio Tour happens three times every year–Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, and in early November. View the work of more than 23 Island artists at 14 open studios where you will see fine art paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, pottery, photography, jewelry, fine furniture, note cards, glass, metalwork, stonework, quilts, clothing, knitwear, and more! This is a great way to find unique, personal holiday gifts for the special people in your life, and enjoy a relaxing day on the Island at the same time. Take exit 260 off of I-5, north of Bellingham, go left (west) onto Slater Rd, then left again at Haxton Way to the ferry dock at Gooseberry Point. The Whatcom Chief ferry departs at 10 minutes past every hour from Gooseberry Pt. for the 8 minute ride to Lummi Island, and leaves the Island on the hour. When there are too many vehicles, the ferry will return for a second run to clear the dock. The round trip ferry ride is $13 for car and driver and $7 per person or per bicycle and rider. Accompanied children under age 12 and passengers age 12 to 19 ride free! Maps for the self-guided tour are available at The Islander Store (across the street and just south from the Lummi Island ferry dock), on Facebook at Lummi Island Studio Tour and online. (See URLs in this listing.) Watch for the balloons marking each location.
